Horses & Mules Department

Rules and Information

  1. All Horses & Mules exhibitors under the age of 18 are required to wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets in all Mounted Activities, including exhibiting, practicing and warming up.
  2. Exhibitors will read General Rules, Livestock Rules and Health Regulations before filing out entry forms or online with FairEntry.
  3. All horses & mules must be stalled on the Fairgrounds by 9:00 pm, August 23rd to be eligible for exhibit and competition.
  4. No colts or stallions allowed in age groups under 18 years old.
  5. Tack boxes are not permitted in main aisles of barns.
  6. Do not saddle horses or mules in the aisles or in the stalls.
  7. Do not tie horses or mules in the stall or aisles.
  8. Do not leave horses or mules saddled in stalls.
  9. Lead horses or mules from barns to holding areas and arenas.
  10. Hang water and/or grain buckets in stall.
  11. No hay nets/grain pans in stalls after 8:00 pm
  12. Dump manure only where posted.
  13. No shavings will be used in the outside lower pens.
  14. Clean up all areas, including wash racks.
  15. Show numbers will be given out at the Horse Show Office.

Registration Information

Registration for online entries opens July 1st. All entries need to be entered at FairEntry by August 2nd.
