The Black & White Ribbon Award

What is it?

Starting in 1951, the Washington State Fair Association began awarding black & white ribbon to agriculture fairs and youth shows in Washington State. The ribbon is awarded by the Washington State Fair Commissioner assigned to our Fair & Rodeo. The ribbon is an important part of the Lincoln County Fair over the years. The assigned Fair Commissioner awards the ribbon to any of area of the Fair & Rodeo that the Commissioner considers outstanding. This could be any part of the Fair & Rodeo from the Arena to a department.

The Fair Commissioner also judges the overall effectiveness of our Fair & Rodeo during this visit. The Fair & Rodeo is scored on every aspect of what is happening.
