4-H Photography Department
Rules and Information
- A limit of 3 entries per section, unless specified.
- Junior, Intermediate and Senior exhibitors who receive a blue ribbon qualify to submit their entry at the Washington State 4-H Fair, if they are enrolled in appropriate project.
- Cloverbud members will receive 10 points for each exhibit.
- No ribbon will be given for poor quality work.
- All photography entries must have been taken during the current 4-H year by the exhibitor.
- Name and address of exhibitor and section must be on the back of each photograph.
- All photographs must be mounted to a mat with a foam board backing use dry mount tissue, photo glue, photo stickers, or another suitable substitute to attach.
- Framed, oval mats and non-mounted photographs will not be accepted.
- All photographs must be printed on photo quality paper, copy paper entries will not be accepted.
- Photography entries can be no smaller than 5″ x7″ and no larger than 8″ x12″.
- All photography entries must include a 4-H Photography Exhibit Card Photography Cards are available at the WSU Lincoln County Extension Office, Lincoln County Fair Office or Online at pubs.extension.wsu.edu/photo-label.

- A series of 3 to 6 photos depicting a specific theme.
- A is title required.
- Captions, poems, or other written works

Photojournalism Photos

- One enlargement 5”x7” to 8”x12” matted
board or white poster board. - Caption should be mounted below the photos on the board.

Photography Story Board

- 2-4 pictures depicting a single newsworthy story; any size, but total exhibit must not exceed 11”x14”.
- Mount on white matte board or white poster board.

- All photos must be newsworthy and
