Canning Department

Rules and Information

  1. All jars must be regular Kerr or Ball canning jars.
  2. Exhibits must be preserved since the 2023 Lincoln County Fair & Rodeo.
  3. Only one exhibit per person per section.
  4. Three entries allowed in Other.
  5. Screw rings should be removed from jar.
  6. Must label process method, time and pressure, hot or cold pack, date, and any unusual ingredients on a 3 x 5 recipe card to be placed under the jar.
  7. Indicate if sugarless.
  8. All products must be preserved.
  9. Dried exhibits must be in an openable glass jar.
  10. Label process method, time, variety and date on container.
  11. All judging done according to latest USDA Standards; see Lincoln County Extension Office for latest publication.

Registration Information

Register entries online at FairEntry by August 19th or register entries in person with this Department on August 21st.
